The rebate

How you actually get the rebate

You don’t. Not in the sense of filling in a form and waiting for money back. The government discount for a heat pump hot water upgrade is applied at the point of sale, which means it has already been taken off every price on this page. Separately, if your job is large enough, a 0% interest NSW Home Energy Saver Loan is available.

The discount

Already deducted from the prices above

Heat pump hot water upgrades qualify for discounts under the NSW Energy Savings Scheme and Peak Demand Reduction Scheme. These are claimed by an accredited provider on your behalf and come straight off the installed price. No form, no receipts, no waiting for a refund.

Jobs of $2,000 and above

Brighte’s smallest loan is $2,000, measured on the GST-inclusive job total. The minimum $220 deposit comes out of that total rather than sitting on top of it: on a $2,000 job you pay $220 up front and repay the remaining $1,780 over your term. The EG-330FR at $1,999 + GST clears the threshold; the two smaller models are usually paid outright.

Up to $15,000 over up to 10 years. A $4.99 late payment fee applies if a repayment is missed, capped at $49.90 a year.

The NSW Home Energy Saver Program also includes a separate discount of up to $4,000 for lower-income households, delivered by Creditex. Applications for that discount are not open yet and it is not part of the pricing shown here. Program rules are set by the NSW Government and can change. Current eligibility criteria are published at energy.nsw.gov.au.

Illustration only, based on 0% interest and no fees. A minimum deposit of $220 is paid up front and forms part of the price shown, not an extra charge on top of it; the balance is repaid over your term. Brighte’s minimum loan is $2,000. Not a quote and not an offer of credit. Your actual amount, term and approval are determined by Brighte.

Finance is provided by Brighte, not by ESG or Ecogenica. All applications for credit are subject to Brighte’s credit approval. Eligibility criteria and approved upgrade requirements apply. Because the minimum loan is $2,000, jobs priced below that cannot be financed under this program. The $220 minimum deposit is paid out of the job price, not added to it.

The systems

Three ways to upgrade, all heat pump

Every model draws warmth out of the surrounding air and moves it into the tank, rather than heating water with an electric element, which is why it costs less to run. Prices below are for a straight electric-to-electric swap; gas and solar-boosted conversions are priced by our team on your call. Every tank carries a 7-year warranty, and every install is done by the manufacturer’s own licensed team, never handed to a subcontractor.

Questions

Before you enquire

Is the advertised price what I’ll actually pay?

It’s a starting price for a straight electric-to-electric swap, with the government discount already deducted. What you pay depends on your property and what the installation involves. Gas and solar-boosted conversions are priced separately. We give you a firm price before you agree to anything.

Who does the installation?

We handle everything up to the install: checking your eligibility, confirming what the job needs, and giving you the firm quote. Installation itself is done by Ecogenica Pty Ltd, NSW contractor licence 397621C, using its own licensed team rather than a subcontractor, with a 7-year warranty on the tank.

What warranty do I get?

Every tank we install carries a 7-year warranty, on all three models. Because the manufacturer does the installation rather than a subcontractor, warranty questions go to one place instead of being argued between a supplier and an installer.

Am I guaranteed to be eligible?

No. Eligibility is set by the NSW Government and depends on your household income, whether you own the property, and whether your home suits the upgrade. That’s exactly what the eligibility check is for.

Do I have to take the finance?

No. The NSW Home Energy Saver Loan is an option for eligible households, not a condition. Note the minimum loan is $2,000, so a smaller job can fall below the threshold.

Will someone knock on my door?

No. Unsolicited door-knocking to promote these upgrades is banned under the NSW program. You’ll only hear from us because you asked to.
